Bangalore Queer Tango (BQT) is a safe-space for queer, trans*, genderfluid and non-binary persons looking to be part of a community that embraces each other in dance and with respect. They have a website and a WhatsApp group of around 60 queer dancers who have attended Bangalore Queer Tango classes at some point.

BQT, started in early 2023, is a space where members of the queer community in Bangalore come together to learn tango. Bangalore, officially Bengaluru, is the capital and largest city of the southern Indian state of Karnataka. It has a population of more than 8 million and a metropolitan population of around 15 million. BQT is an emerging queer community within the larger Tango community in Bangalore. The members of BQT attend mainstream practicas or milongas on occasion and they invite you to come to their classes and practicas next time you go to India.
