International Women’s Tango Retreat at Kvinnohojden in Sweden

August 7 – 13, 2016 Malin Backström, Lotta Bohlin, Kristin Bjarnadottir, Henny Stridsberg and Sabine Rohde are inviting women from around the world to join them at the women’s tango retreat, the ‘Internationell Tangovecka’ (the International tango week) at Kvinnohojden in Sweden. The women teachers all dance both roles in tango and are a group of lovely people who will share their knowledge and insights with you.

You are welcome if you have danced tango (one or both roles) for one year or more. The price is 2400,- which includes nice food and board. Classes will be taught in both English and Swedish.

Kvinnohojden is a feminist course and guest house situated in Storsund, a village near Borlange in Dalarna, Sweden. It is owned by a non-profit organization that been running workshops there since 1981. Everything is run with a feminist perspective at Kvinnohojden.

The programme of this international tango retreat includes a number of tango workshops about: body language, communication, contact, musicality, technique and body awareness; relaxed milongas; conversations about feminism, tango, queer tango, the roles in tango, and much more…
